The Difference in Doodles: All About the Mini-Labradoodle

Here at Happy Doodle Farm, we offer a number of doodle breeds from Goldendoodles, Labradoodles, Bernedoodles and Mini-Labradoodles. What’s the difference between them all? In this blog series, we’ll cover the difference between each of the doodle varieties that we offer. Read below to find out everything you need to know about the Mini-Labradoodle.

Temperament:

Mini-Labradoodles are just like the regular Labradoodles, but, (you guessed it!), a smaller version. They were bred to be a companion pet. Just like a standard Labradoodle, Mini-Labradoodles are easy to train, highly intelligent and have a great temperament. They are social and eager to please and are said to be “playful like a lab and smart like a poodle.”

Grooming:

Just like a standard Labradoodle, a Mini-Labradoodle can have a number of different coat colors including: black, brown, chocolate, cream, golden, silver or white. Labradors are known to have short, straight and dense hair, while Poodles are known to have long, curly and thick hairs. So,

Labradoodles can have a few different variations of coats and they are one of the best breeds for allergy sufferers

Training:

Just like a standard Labradoodle, a Mini-Labradoodle is extremely intelligent and fairly easy to train, but because they are so smart, they can also develop bad habits easily, so be sure to train them on how not to behave, as well. Because of their temperament, aggression when training Labradoodles isn’t effective. It’s important to be patient when training your mini-Labradoodle puppy so that it knows that you are to be trusted.

Size:

Our Mini Golden Labradoodles will typically be around 20 pounds when they’re full grown.
