We are in California so often delivering puppies that people start to ask us “are you going to LA for the weekend?” First off, we love that in the area you have everything. Beaches, amusement parks, Mountains, traffic, In-N-Out, Hollywood. The area is such a beautiful, dog-friendly, place. When we take a puppy out in California we are almost never the only one with a dog. I sometimes wish we could have a Happy Doodle Farm West Coast shop, but unfortunately that would be difficult for us to bring our huge network of experts out with us. Flying to California is super easy. There are non-stop flights to LAX from our local airport and there is always flight availability somewhere to get us in the area quickly. A lot of people get hung up on finding a breeder close, but the reality is that everywhere is close. It’s not like you have to come over and raise the puppy once you pick him out. We raise them in our home until they are 8 weeks, then depending on the level of training requested we start working with the puppy. Usually when a puppy needs more intensive training they leave us and go work with someone else to get exposure to as many different people as possible. It would not really matter if you lived next door or in another country the process would be the same. The only day it matters where we are located is on pickup or delivery day. Whether we drive 4 minutes, 4 hours or fly 4 hours does not really change anything.
